We have finally started to build our blog! It has taken us a while to get it this far, but hopefully we can stay focused and continue to add great pictures and insights. So please don't mind our dust as we continue our construction. Thanks!

How did we ever end up together?

Erik and I met at a singles ward of over 300 singles. Eirk got lucky because my car broke down, so I needed rides. Erik offered to take me to school whenever he was able(can you say love at first sight?) Oh yes that's right I was using Erik for his truck. Little did I know how my life was going to change when I said yes to his kindness, but I will get into that later. I need to share our disastrous first date. I had started texting Erik because I needed another ride to school on Friday. He told me "I can't Friday morning, but how about I pick you up Friday night at 7." Yes ladies that's right he was asking me out in a text. Well I am sure you can guess it. I did not answer back. Ok so I did answer back saying sure because lets face it I still needed rides to school. Friday night comes around and I totally forgot about our date. I had a horrible day at work, and I got some more bad news about my car. When I finally remembered I had about twenty min's to get dressed, put in my contacts, and try to look happy.
Erik picks me up. We are pulling into the parking lot of all these really nice restaurants when I look at him and say "so where are we eating?" Erik reply's with a smug "oh this great Mexican place." He did not get to finish his sentence when I blurt out "WHAT? I hate Mexican food." "oh well we don't have to eat here there are tons of other places we can eat at" Erik says calmly. "No, No it's fine you had a plan lets go eat." I say trying to remember my manners. We had a wonderful time. We talked long after we were done eating. After dinner we get back to the truck and I ask "so where to now?" He says "I have never been to this place but I hear they have a great mini golf course." I look at him and say "I hate mini golf more than Mexican food." Erik looks at me with intense eyes, and says "we don't have to go." Again, trying to remember my manners I say "No, No lets go." We go and have such a wonderful time I could not believe it. After we are done golfing we decide to go to a singles dance. I love dancing!! We walk in the door, and I hand Erik my flip flops then I take off. I even got asked to slow dance by someone else. I am sorry to say I said yes. I could not see Erik anywhere. Don't worry I danced with Erik the very last slow dance. Well there you have it. I don't know how we ever stayed together, but we did. We were never apart from that date on.
